Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that overseas Pakistanis are the most valuable assets of the country and the nation.

According to details, a meeting on the country’s economy was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The meeting was attended by Finance Advisor Dr. Abdul Hafeet Sheikh, Special Assistant for Accountability Shehzad Akbar, Dr. Ishrat Hussain, Governor SBP Dr. Raza Baqir, Secretary Finance, Chairman FBR and other officials.

The meeting considered the situation of remittances and foreign exchange reserves and proposed proposals and measures for their further increase.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the significant increase in remittances sent by Pakistanis abroad in July 2020.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister said that Pakistanis living abroad are the most valuable assets of the country and the nation. In terms of remittances, providing all possible facilities to Pakistanis abroad is the top priority of the government.

Imran Khan directed that further measures be proposed to increase remittances and foreign exchange, which would encourage Pakistanis at home and abroad and contribute more to the stabilization of the Pakistani economy.
