Pakistan Army launches rescue operations in rain-hit Karachi

The heavy rainfall of the latest monsoon spell has submerged different low-lying areas of Karachi, due to that many residents have been stranded at their houses.

On Saturday, the Pakistan army contingent reached the Central District to rescue people from their homes.

According to details, the operation is underway in Surjani Town, New Karachi, Yousuf Goth, Yaro Goth, and adjoining areas.

The Pak Army is also draining the water from the streets and roads through dewatering pumps. In the rescue operation, officers and youths of Pakistan Army Engineering Corps have taken part.

Sindh Rangers’ rescue teams also went to help people trapped in rainwater in the areas including Sakhi Hassan, Surjani Town, North Karachi, Yousuf Goth, and KDA Chowrangi.

The Sindh Rangers have asked the metropolis residents to contact them if they need immediate help to get rescued from their houses. Sindh Rangers assured the citizens that they will come to their aid instantly.
