Power supply situation worsens in Karachi after rain

After Karachi received heavy rainfall on Friday, more than 250 feeders tripped and the power supply situation worsened in the city.

According to details, power outages in the areas of Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, New Karachi, and Liaquatabad. Nusrat Bhutto Colony, Sohrab Goth, and Surjani also lost power.

Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulshan-e-Hadid, Razzaqabad, Kathor, and Gadap also faced scarcity of power supply.

As per details, power is being cut off for four to five hours in areas exempted from load shedding. The duration of the power outage in load shedding areas has been extended from eight and a half to twelve hours.

Many citizens have filed complaints but no action is still taken to restore the electricity.
