Upon expiry of four years term of the Local councils, the government of Sindh has issued a notification to cease operation of all offices of the Mayors, Deputy Mayors, Chairmen, Vice-Chairmen, and all elected and nominated representatives within this system.

According to the notification the aforementioned elected and nominated people shall be responsible to settle individual liability, and return assets.

Let it be known that on Aug 27, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had said the administrator of Karachi will be appointed in accordance with the law after the local government institutions complete their tenure.
