Tourism potential should be brought to fore: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the tourism potential will be brought to the fore with the help of the federation.

According to details, a meeting on tourism has been held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Issues related to tourism have been considered in the meeting.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister said that there are many opportunities for the promotion of tourism in Pakistan, we should take advantage of these opportunities.

The Prime Minister also stressed the need to make the measures taken for the positive use of government-owned buildings, historic buildings, governor’s houses, guest houses, etc. Ensure that these buildings are available to the public.

The government has made three decisions based on the views of tourists on tourist destinations.

The Prime Minister has decided to form a National Coordinating Committee on Tourism for which Special Assistant Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari has been appointed convener of the committee.

The appointed committee will meet every week and from now it will submit a progress report to the Prime Minister every two weeks.

The meeting also gave a briefing on the national tourism policy and at the same time decided to launch an immediate campaign against encroachments on tourist destinations.

According to the decisions of the meeting, the provincial governments will build clean bathrooms in tourist places as tourists do not have access to bathrooms in tourist places.

It may be recalled that the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and representatives of the four provinces were also present in the meeting.
