RAWALPINDI: Captain Abdullah Zafar was martyred when terrorists opened fire on a convoy of security forces in South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), security forces were on night patrolling in Shakai area of ​​South Waziristan during which terrorists opened fire on the convoy. Capt. Abdullah Zafar was martyred in the exchange of fire.

According to ISPR, Captain Abdullah, 25, of Kohat bravely fought the terrorists.

ISPR said that security forces cordoned off the area and launched a clearance operation.

It should be noted that a few days ago, two soldiers were martyred in an exchange of fire with terrorists during a security forces operation in Miranshah area of ​​North Waziristan.

The ISPR said that the martyred personnel included Hawaldar Tajbir Ali and Rashid, Hawaldar Tajbar Ali from Swat and Rashid from Para Chinar.

It may be recalled that three youths were martyred by terrorists during a search operation in South Waziristan in August. The martyrs included soldier Saleem, Subedar Nadeem and Lance Naik Masoor.
