A case of grenade attack over Mominbad police station has been registered against unknown attackers at the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).

According to the details,  the case was registered on the complaint of the station head officer (SHO).

Two police officials have sustained minor injuries in a grenade attack by unidentified assailants near the Mominabad police station in Karachi.

A senior police official told media that unidentified men hurled a grenade at the gates of Mominabad police station. The timely response by the on-duty officials foiled the planed the attackers managed to flee from the scene.

Senior superintendent police (SSP) Fida Hussain said that No deaths were reported due to the incident however two policemen sustained minor injuries while getting away from the range of the explosion and the fragmentation.

The police department has since started a probe into the incident with the identification of the attackers is being done via CCTV footage.
