CM Punjab launches Nayi Zindagi programme worth Rs200M for acid-attack victims

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Saturday launched Nayi Zindagi programme worth Rs200 million to uplift the acid attack victims by providing them financial support.

While addressing an event of Nayi Zindagi initiative for medical and psychological rehabilitation of acid attack victims, CM Usman Buzdar said the program will be expanded to other districts besides creating employment for the affected persons.

CM Punjab said the welfare of marginalized classes is the top priority of the government and the provincial government has launched this Punjab Ehsaas Programme for the welfare of poor people.

He also added that Punjab government has initially allocated Rs200 million program and it will expand in future.

The government has prioritize the uplift of the unprivileged segment of society and more than 75,000 persons will be groomed for employment, CM Buzdar added.

The chief minister said special measures are also being taken for the human resource development in the province.

Under the Nayi Zindagi programme, the acid attack victims will be provided medical facilities and interest-free loans.

‘Acid attack victims to get medical treatment, loans under Nayi Zindagi programme’, CM Buzdar said.
