Jamaat-e-Islami launched ‘Haqooq Karachi Tehreek’ through a march on Shahra-e-Qaideen in Karachi.

Jamaat-e-Islami set up a venue on Shahra-e-Qaedeen for the Rights Karachi March, which was attended by thousands of people, including women and children.

Ameer of Jamat e Islami Senator Sirajul Haq in his speech blamed the federal and provincial governments for Karachi’s problems.

Jamaat-e-Islami demands from the federal government to take K-Electric into its charge.

He announced to observe Karachi Solidarity Day on October 14 for the rights of Karachi.

Siraj-ul-Haq said that Karachi is inhabited by people who speak all languages, the provincial and federal government has exploited Karachi, the people of Karachi voted for PTI but PTI has given people unemployment, electricity, gas and water cut off.

Ameer of Jamat e Islami said that the Prime Minister says that medicine is available to the people, that is why it is expensive.

“Shirin Mazari and Asad Umar admit that we spoiled the Kashmir issue when the economic policy of this government started with chickens and eggs,” he said.

Senator Siraj-ul-Haq demanded that the city government be restored and empowered, jobs are given on the basis of justice and fairness.

Addressing the Karachi Rights March, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that those who run the country should look at this city, this city drives the economic wheel of the country, the city has been deprived of water, electricity and gas.

“We have been represented by people who have halved the population. We do not accept this fake census. Financial problems, infrastructure are all provided on the basis of the census,” he said.

On the Karachi package, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that the package of Rs 1100 billion is for 30 million people or for 1.5 crore people. Give us our right and do not consider us as political orphans.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman announced a public referendum on October 15-17.
