The Meteorological Department of Pakistan has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall across Karachi in the next three hours.

According to MET, currently, a strong rainstorm system is present in the southeast of Karachi which is gradually coming towards the northeast.

Director-General of Meteorological Department Sardar Sarfraz said,

“Under the influence of the current monsoon system in Karachi, heavy rainfall and thunderstorm is expected in various parts of the metropolis tonight.”

He further said that Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadid is continuously receiving heavy rainfall and soon in the next three hours different areas of the metropolis will experience heavy rain and thunderstorm.

On Sunday the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD)had forecasted light rain in different areas of Karachi during the coming 24 hours.

According to the details, a system developed in India’s Gujrat is heading towards Eastern Sindh. Different areas of the province including Tharparkar, Badin, Mirpur Khas, Umer Court, Dadu, Sukkur, and Larkana will receive light rain with low air pressure.
