LHC extends interim bail of Shehbaz Sharif in money laundering case till Sept 28
The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday extended interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz President Shahbaz Sharif’s bail in money laundering case till September 28.
According to the details, Shahbaz Sharif has filed an application in the High Court for his bail. A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court headed by Justice Sardar Ahmed Naeem heard Shahbaz Sharif’s bail plea.
NAB Lahore has requested the High Court to reject Shahbaz Sharif’s bail application.
Lawyer Shahbaz Sharif while targeting the anti-graft body said orders based on malice have no place in the eyes of the law.
The Chairman NAB does not have unlimited authority, lawyer of Shehbaz Sharif maintained, adding that there is no law in the country to deal with the increase in assets.
Previously, the LHC had extended interim bail of Shehbaz Sharif till September 24 in the case.
On June 1, Shehbaz Sharif had filed a bail plea in LHC to avoid arrest in assets beyond means and money laundering cases.
