Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed strongly condemned the Lahore motorway rape incident saying that we are much ashamed in front of the world due to this horrific event.

Speaking to a press conference in Lahore, Sheikh Rasheed said Lahore CCPO Umar Sheikh’s statement is inappropriate and senseless.

He also added that the CCPO should have responded thoughtfully. Responding to PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah’s allegation, Rasheed said that Asad Umar should not be associated with the CCPO.

Whatever the Chief Justice said about the responsibilities of police, was absolutely right, the minister said.

Mentioning about the corrupt leaders of Pakistan, Rasheed added that London is becoming a hotbed of looters and advertisers.
