NEPRA Approves To Increase Power Tariff Per Unit Up To Rs 2.97

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has notified Rs 0.86 per unit increase in power tariff on account of fuel cost adjustment of electricity.

According to the details,  the spike in electricity price will be for the month of July which will generate Rs 12 billion revenue.

This tariff hike will put an additional burden of Rs10 billion on power consumers.

The additional fuel cost of Rs12 billion will be charged from consumers in the coming billing month.

National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) yesterday had imposed a fine of Rs200 million on K-Electric over excessive load shedding in Karachi.

The fine was imposed against the K-Electric for excessive load shedding during the month of June and July this year.
