Pakistan High Commission in UK receives arrest warrants against Nawaz Sharif

The High Commission of Pakistan in London has received arrest warrants issued by Islamabad High Court against former premier Nawaz Sharif.

According to the details, The assistant registrar of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) directed the foreign secretary to ensure the production of the former prime minister before the court on September 22.

The IHC earlier this week had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Nawaz Sharif while dismissing his application seeking exemption from personal appearance in the hearing of appeals against his conviction in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield properties references.

The former prime minister has been in the UK since November 2019, after getting bail from the court on medical grounds and securing permission from the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government.

His doctors said he is suffering from complicated cardiac disease and an immune system disorder that resulted in a dangerously low platelet count.

Medical Report

Earlier this week, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s fresh medical reports were submitted to the Lahore High Court.

According to the fresh report, The doctor has advised Nawaz Sharif to stay in London for the best treatment and continue medical therapy.

Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer Amjad Pervez’s assistant submitted a report consisting of four pages in the Lahore High Court.

The report stated that due to the novel coronavirus, medical treatment of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was disrupted.

Nawaz Sharif was restricted from traveling during Corona and is already suffering from depression.

Soon a time will be set for the treatment of Arteries of Nawaz Sharif. Nawaz Sharif’s platelets issue will be treated after the procedure to open the closed arteries of his heart. Nawaz Sharif’s health is in grave danger and he is suffering from hypertension, heart disease, and other ailments.
