Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) in the high court of Lahore on Wednesday has challenged the removal of Inspector General (IG) Punjab Police.

According to the details, PML-N leader Malik Ahmad Khan challenged the transfer of Shoaib Dastgir. Chief Secretary Punjab and others have been made parties in the petition.

Let it be known that the government replaced Shoaib Dastgir with Inam Ghani as the Punjab Inspector General of Police, a few days after the former IGP refused to continue his duties over a widely reported feud with Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Umar Sheikh.

This is the sixth police chief appointed to the province in just two years.
