Swabi: Five of the same family killed in roof collapse incident

At least five people of the same family were killed when the roof of a house collapsed due to heavy rain in Swabi on Thursday.

According to the details, the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed in Musa Banda, burying seven people under the debris.

Soon after the incident occurred, the rescue teams reached the spot and retrieved five dead bodies from the rubble and pulled out two other persons in injured condition, an electronic channel reported.

Rescue teams shifted the dead and injured to Bacha Khan Medical Complex. According to rescue sources, three children were also in the deceased.

On the other hand In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the rescue operation is continuing in the rain and flood-affected areas.

Provincial Disaster Management Authority Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said thirteen houses were completed and one hundred and ten houses were partially damaged across the province.

Efforts are also underway to reopen all the blocked roads for traffic.

On Wednesday three people were killed while five others sustained injuries when the roof of a building collapsed at Al-Hafeez Garden Manawan in Lahore.

As a result, Atiq (16), Zakaullah (20), and Imran (28) dead on the spot while Irfan (37), Nasir (38), Abdul Majeed (40), Manawar (26), and Abdul Rasheed (25) suffered multiple injuries.

Forty rescuers with twelve emergency vehicles took part in the rescue operations.
