A  4.7 magnitude earthquake struck Mingora city in  Swat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Thursday.

Tremors were felt across the city and adjoining areas with the depth of 100 kilometres and had an epicentre of Hindu Kush Mountain range.

In September this year, earthquake tremors were felt in Quetta and surrounding areas. According to seismologists, the quake tremors were felt at 9:43 p.m. According to the seismic centre, the magnitude of the quake was 4.7 on the Richter scale and its depth was recorded 18 km.

The epicentre was reported 30 kilometres west of Sibi, according to the US Geological Survey

The earthquake affected Walan-Dhadar and surrounding areas.

Earlier on 26th August, earthquake tremors were felt in Mansehra and surrounding areas. According to the seismological centre, the magnitude of the earthquake recorded on the rector scale is 5.1.

The center also reported that the depth of the quake was 120 km. The epicentre of the earthquake was the Hindu Kush in Afghanistan.
