Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa strongly condemned the assassination of renowned religious scholar Maulana Adil Khan in Karachi, a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Qamar termed the incident an attempt to foment unrest by Pakistan’s enemies.
He directed all-out support to civil administration to bring the criminals to justice.

Let it be known that Maulana Adil Khan martyred after attackers opened fire on his double-cabin vehicle on his way back from Darul Uloom Karachi.
According to the details, Maulana Adil was attacked in Shah Faisal Colony. Two people also got injured in the firing incident and were shifted to Fauji Foundation hospital, located in Shah Faisal.

Maulana Adil was the superintendent of Farooqia University, located in Shah Faisal Colony 4, and the son of the late Maulana Saleemullah Khan.
Maulana Adil Liaquat took his last breath at the Liaquat National Hospital. The hospital spokesman said that Maulana Adil died before reaching the hospital.
The spokesman revealed that Maulana Adil was shot twice and his driver Maqsood was also killed in the firing incident.
