Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will not be taking charge of their cabin crew’s allowances starting from 1st November, 2020.

Aamir Bashir, General Manager Flight Services, has issued a notification in this regard. According to official statements, all officiated assignments to the cabin crew will be canceled starting next month. This includes all assignments that come under the cabin crew e.g. Flight Purser, Senior Purser, Sr. Flight Steward and air hostesses.

A new duty roster will be layed out soon based on the actual designation of the cabin crew. This development originated as a result of the federal government’s pressure on PIA management to introduce cost-cutting measures for the national airline’s betterment.

The national air-service incurred a loss of Pakistani 32 billion rupees during the COVID – 19 pandemic lockdown.
