Prime Minister Imran Khan has recommended the youth to read Elif Shafak’s “The Forty Rules of Love” in his attempt to bring them closer to Islam.

According to the details, in an Instagram post, the prime minister Imran Khan said that the book had deeply inspired him as it was about divine love.

“This October I suggest our youth to read “The Forty Rules of Love” by Elif Shafak,” he said in an Instagram post.

The Forty Rules of Love is a novel written by Turkish author Elif Shafak, The book was published in March 2009. It is about Maulana Jalal-Ud-Din, known as Rumi and his companion Shams Tabrizi. This book explains how Shams transformed a scholar into a Sufi through love.

In May this year, amid the coronavirus lockdown, the Prime Minister had recommended that the youth read the famous book ‘Lost Islamic History’ in order to engage in insightful and enlightening reading.

In a tweet, Imran Khan said that the book elaborates on the rich history of the Islamic civilizations and the factors that led to their decline.
