The Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan on Sunday has urged masses to strictly follow the health protocols devised to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Taking to his official twitter handle, the prime Minister wrote;

“Compared to some other states, Allah has been kind to us in Pak & spared us the worst effects of COVID-19.”

The Prime Minister added that”There is a fear onset of winter could result in 2nd wave.”

Imran Khan in addition to this said, “I urge everyone to wear face masks in public to avoid a spike. All offices & ed institutions must ensure masks are worn.”

Coronavirus Situation in Pakistan

632 new cases of coronavirus surfaced in the country after tests of 33,725 people were conducted over the last twenty-four hours.

According to the latest statistics, the pandemic claimed the lives of 06 more people during the last twenty-four hours.

298,968 patients have so far recovered from the disease. There are now 9,135 active cases in the country.

More than 3.6 million tests have been conducted in the country. 513 of the patients under treatment at various hospitals across the country are said to be in critical condition.

So far, Sindh has reported 138,050 cases of the coronavirus, Punjab 99,812, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 37,973, Balochistan 15,371, Islamabad 16,766, Gilgit Baltistan 3,828, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir 2,816.
