Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced more good news for the economy of Pakistan despite increasing Coronavirus cases.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, the premier said that in the month of September remittances from our hardworking Pakistanis abroad reached 2.3 billion, 31% higher than last September and 9% higher than August.

He wrote, “Despite COVID more good news for our economy. Alhamdulillah, remittances from our hardworking overseas Pakistanis rose to $2.3 bn in Sept 2020, 31% higher than last Sept & 9% higher than August 2020. This marks the 4th consecutive month that remittances have remained above $2 bn.”

Earlier in another tweet, PM Imran has directed Tiger Force to keep a check on the prices of essential commodities in their localities.

In his tweet, he wrote, “On coming Saturday I will be meeting with our Tiger Force at the Convention Centre. From now till then I want our Tiger Force to regularly check prices of daal, atta, sugar, ghee in their localities & post on the Tiger Force portal. Will discuss in Saturday mtg.”
