The Pakistan government has disclosed the main reason for banning TikTok in Pakistan.

According to the details, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan Shahbaz Gill said that the video-sharing app TikTok has been banned in Pakistan due to immoral content.

Shahbaz Gill said that some parents had complained to the Prime Minister Imran Khan about the indecent content uploaded on the app.

He said that discussions were underway with the TikTok administration to formulate a code of conduct. If the TikTok administration adheres to the ethical rules, the app will be restored in Pakistan, told Gill.

Earlier in the day, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has decided to write a letter to the Prime Minister on the ban on TikTok, a Chinese video-sharing app, in Pakistan.

According to the details, Fawad Chaudhry said that the decision to ban TikTok will put an end to Pakistan’s technology.

Chaudhry further said that he would request the Prime Minister, Imran Khan, not to ban technology.

“We are focusing more on digital technology,” said Fawad.
