The World Health Organization (WHO) has applauded the commitment of federal and provincial governments to efficiently control the coronavirus pandemic.

On Friday, Dr. Faisal Sultan, the Special Assistant of the Prime minister Imran khan presided over the World health organization (WHO) session from the Eastern Mediterranean region.

The project, which visits Pakistan from 14-24 October, explored lessons learned from Pakistan’s COVID-10 approach with an emphasis on issues such as monitoring, entry point, risk communication, community participation, and sustainability of critical health services.

The WHO campaign admired the contribution of the federal and provincial governments in the fight against the country’s infectious disease whilst discussing its results.

The attempt of the WHO in recognizing the weaknesses and provide suggestions in the areas proposed by the 2005 International Health Regulations were also praised by SAPM.

Dr. Palitha Mahipala, leader of WHO Pakistan, also attended the meeting.
