Asim Saleem Bajwa deeply griefed on the sad demise of Begum Shamim

Chairman CPEC Asim Saleem Bajwa has on Sunday expressed deep sorrow on the passing of Begum Shamim Akhtar, mother of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N_ leaders Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Asim Bajwa paid heartfelt condolences to the Sharif family and prayed for the departed soul in eternal peace.

“Deepest condolences on the sad demise of Begum Shamim Akhtar, mother of Mian Nawaz Sharif & Mian Shahbaz Sharif. May Allah bless her and rest her soul in eternal peace,” he wrote.

Also, Prime Minister Imran Khan is saddened to hear about the sad demise and prayed for the departed soul of Begum Shamim.

The premier wrote on Twitter, “My condolences and prayers go to the Sharif family on the passing of Mian Nawaz and Mian Shahbaz Sharif’s mother. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.”

Moreover, “My condolences to the Sharif family, on the death of Begum Shamim Akhtar, mother of Mian Nawaz Sharif & Mian Shahbaz Sharif. May her soul rest in peace,” tweeted the President.

Begum Shamim Akhtar, 90, breathed her last on Sunday morning. Her condition had been fragile due to her old age.

Earlier in February, late Begum Shamim had departed for London to see her ailing son Nawaz Sharif.
