On 9th November, Allama Iqbal’s birth anniversary, the newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong paid tribute to the poet of the East, Allama Iqbal.

Taking to his Twitter account, Ambassador Rong shared a famous Iqbal’s poetry that read,

“Afraad K Hathon Main Hai Aqwam Ki Taqdeer

Her Fard Hai Milat Ke Muqaddar Ka Sitara.”

Earlier on Monday, Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong called on Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi today (Monday).

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), both discussed matters of mutual interest, including regional security during the meeting.
