COAS Bajwa solaces the irreparable loss of Admiral Fasih Bokhari

Former Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Fasih Bokhari passed away in Islamabad here on Tuesday.

Chief of Army Chief (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa expresses heartfelt condolences at the sad demise of Admiral Bokhari.

The Army Chief in his twitter message prayed for the departed soul in eternal peace and condoled the bereaved family.

“General Qamar Javed Bajwa expresses heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of former Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Fasih Bokhari (retired). “May Allah bless his soul & give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss, Ameen”, COAS said. 

Moreover, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi extended condolences on the demise of Admiral Fasih Bokhari.

Admiral Fasih was a retired four-star rank admiral in the Pakistan Navy, who served as the Chief of Naval Staff from taking over the Navy’s command in 1997 until voluntarily tendering resignation in 1999.

In 1959, he commissioned in the Pakistan Navy as a Midshipman and was sent to the Britannia Royal Naval College in the United Kingdom to complete his training.

Furthermore, he also served as the Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in 2011.

Upon returning to Pakistan in 1962, he received promotion as Sub-Lieutenant and inducted in the Submarine Command as a navigation officer.

He served in the Ghazi and did short training on submarine operations at the Naval Academy in Turkey.
