COAS reviewed security situation along LoC, Indian atrocities in IOJK

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has on Tuesday (today) presided the 237th Corps Commanders’ Conference at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the forum reviewed regional & national security environment, discussed internal security, situation along borders, ceasefire violations along LoC and Indian brutalities in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K).

An overview of the positive progress in Afghan Peace Process was also taken at the conference.

Deliberating upon recent surge in unprovoked violations by Indian troops, forum resolved to take all measures necessary to protect innocent population living along the LoC.

Forum showed serious concern in the wake of irrefutable evidence of Indian state sponsored terrorism and efforts to destabilize Pakistan, ISPR said.

During the Corps Commanders’ Conference, the attendees expressed strong will and determination to defend their motherland against any misadventure.

The forum also discussed to take strict precautionary measures in the wake of second wave of COVID-19 across the country. The Army Chief specifically directed all commanders to ensure measures to support the national effort.

According to COAS Bajwa, Pakistan Army always fully prepared to thwart all internal and external challenges.

“It is our duty to transform these challenges into opportunities for the stability and prosperity of the people of Pakistan, he concluded.
