The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) has issued a notification on Friday and banned Indoor weddings have been banned in Pakistan.

According to the notification, major cities of Pakistan with “high positivity and higher disease spread potential”, have been asked to enforce the ban.

The NCOC notification further read,

“Only outdoor marriages allowed with an upper limit of 1,000 persons.”

The ban on indoor weddings is applied to Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Hyderabad, Gilgit, Muzzafarabad, Mirpur, Peshawar, Quetta, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, and Abbottabad.

As per the details, the decision will go into effect from November 20, 2020.

According to the details, important decisions taken by the NCOC include the implementation of new strategies to ensure the implementation of SOPs.

It has been decided to implement the second phase of precautionary measures across the country from tomorrow, according to which 50 percent of staff will work in government and private offices while 50 percent of the staff have been directed to work from home.

It is pertinent to mention here that the implementation of the second phase of precautionary measures by the NCOC will continue till January 31, 2021.
