Foreign Office Releases Details of Javad Zarif’s Visit To Pakistan

The Foreign Office has released details regarding the two-day official visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

According to sources, the Iranian Foreign Minister is on a two-day official visit to Pakistan for which Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Syed Mohammad Ali Hosseini and officials of the Iranian Embassy will receive the Iranian Foreign Minister and his delegation at Noor Khan Airport.

Iran’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Ebrahim Tahirian will also accompany Jawad Zarif, while a high-level delegation of the political and economic level will accompany the Iranian Foreign Minister to Islamabad.

During his visit to Pakistan, the Iranian Foreign Minister will hold special talks on Pak-Iran bilateral relations, the US presidential election in the context of the resumption of the P5 + 1 agreement and the IP gas pipeline. The peace process, Pak-Iran economic relations, Pak-Iran border management issues and illegal drug and human trafficking will be discussed.

After arriving in Pakistan, the Iranian Foreign Minister will begin his regular meetings from tomorrow and will meet President Dr Arif Ali and Prime Minister Imran Khan tomorrow. He will also meet Chief of the Armed Forces General Qamar Javed Bajwa tomorrow.

During his visit, Jawad Zarif will also visit the Institute of Strategic Studies tomorrow evening and will give a lecture. The Iranian Foreign Minister’s meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly is not scheduled. The Iranian Foreign Minister’s visit to Pakistan in the context of US presidential election Significance depends on the size of the reaction.
