Iranian FM discusses bilateral relations with Pakistani Counterpart

The Foreign Minister of Iran Javad Zarif arrived in Pakistan on Tuesday on a two-day trip.

According to the details, he visited the Foreign Office for delegation-level talks with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

Bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest, including regional situation, will be discussed in the talks.

This is the fourth visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister to Pakistan during the last two and a half years, which reflects the promotion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in diverse fields.

On arrival, the Iranian Foreign Minister planted a sapling at the lawn of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During his visit. the Iranian FM will also call on President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Javad Zarif is also scheduled to meet National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa during his stay in Islamabad.

His visit to Pakistan forms part of regular high-level exchanges between the two countries. This is his fourth visit to Pakistan during the last two and a half years.

Pakistan and Iran enjoy close, cordial relations founded on mutual trust and augmented by affinities of faith and culture.

Bilateral collaboration between the two countries has been growing in diverse fields. The Iranian leadership has been vocal in its steadfast support on the Jammu & Kashmir dispute.
