Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that only rich countries’ monopoly on coronavirus vaccine is a matter of concern.

In a statement released on social networking site Twitter, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said that the richest countries have ordered 500 million vaccine doses.

Fawad Chaudhry said this meant that it will take at least two years for vaccines to reach developing countries

He further said that the World Health Organization and other international organizations must be aware of this situation.

Earlier today, the premier Imran Khan maintained that nearly 50 million people have lost their lives after the breakout of the deadly virus across the world.

The economies of the world suffered a huge-blow after the lockdown, PM Imran Khan said and underlined the need for joint efforts to curb the pandemic.

PM also urged the forum to ensure the delivery of coronavirus vaccine across the world at a reasonable rate.
