Pakistan Has Fought A Long War Against Terrorism: FM Qureshi

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the world knows that Pakistan has fought a long war against terrorism.

According to details, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi while talking to reporters at the Pakistani Embassy in Miami Niger said that Pakistan has very good diplomatic relations with Niger.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that this conference will give us an opportunity to discuss the challenges facing the Muslim world and the foreign ministers of the OIC member countries will present their views which will help us formulate a joint strategy.

“Among the new challenges, the growing trend of Islamophobia is a global challenge, and we intend to present a comprehensive resolution on Islamophobia at this OIC Council of Foreign Ministers meeting,” he said.

He said that Pandemic situation has badly affected the world economy, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has proposed to provide credit facility to developing and weak economies to deal with the economic implications of Coronavirus pandemic, which is being appreciated globally.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that for an effective fight against terrorism we need accession and partnership as Pakistan is making joint efforts for peace in Afghanistan. We have decided together that terrorist elements will not be allowed to use our territories.

“We have presented to the world the indisputable evidence of Indian sponsorship of terrorist activities in Pakistan in the form of a dossier and have drawn the attention of the international community to this situation,” he said.

He said that Pakistan believes that Africa is an important continent with a population of 1.3 billion and we are pursuing the “Engage Africa Policy” to promote bilateral trade and investment with African countries.

“We want to be actively involved in infrastructure development in Niger – we intend to set up an export promotion zone in Niger and we want to maximize economic cooperation with Niger,” he added.
