Prime Minister Imran Khan has extended heartiest greetings to the Hindu community on the occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights.

In his tweet, the premier wrote, “Wishing all our Hindu citizens a happy Diwali.”

Diwali is a five-day colorful annual festival of the Hindu community which involves the lighting of candles, worshipping, celebrations and prayers. Fireworks and festivities are an essential part of the occasion.

Earlier in a day, Prime Minister Imran Khan says Pakistan will soon witness a major control in inflation as the country’s Sensitive Price Index shows a decline for second consecutive week.

In a tweet on Saturday, the premier wrote, “Our Sensitive Price Index shows a decline for 2nd consecutive week, in contrast to the situation in other parts of the subcontinent. InshaAllah, we will bring inflation further under control.”
