Maryam Nawaz accuses PTI-led government
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said that her party is ready for dialogue with Army, not in secret; but in front of the nation.
Talking to BBC, Maryam Nawaz said that talks with Pakistan Army could be considered from the platform of Pakistan Democratic Moment. However, the condition is to oust the PTI government.
Maryam Nawaz claimed that the establishment has indirectly contacted her for talks. She said that talks will be held in front of the public and not behind the doors. “I am not against the institutions but sending PTI government packing necessary to move forward,” she added.
He said that according to the constitution, it is the job of the elected government to respond to the public reaction. Maryam Nawaz said that Imran Khan and the government would have to go home to get the country out of the crisis. New transparent elections should be held and a representative government of the people should come. An alliance with the PTI would be tantamount to pardon them.
She said that it is the time for accountability, not affiliation with PTI.
