Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Leader and son in law of former premier Nawaz Sharif, Captain (R) Safdar has been tested for the novel coronavirus.

According to the details, Captain (R) Muhammad Safdar Awan who is on bail till November 10, granted by the Gujranwala sessions court in a sedition case.

He was in Gilgit-Baltistan to campaign for the PML-N for the upcoming elections. He travelled to the region with his wife. He returned to Lahore on Sunday and took the coronavirus test.

Awan has told his party members that he will not meet anyone for the next 15 days, adding that he will come out of quarantine after he tests negative.

Earlier today, PPP’s Qamar Zaman Kaira also tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
