President Alvi urges people to observe strict precautions as the disease getting dangerous

President Dr Arif Alvi has urged people to avoid large gatherings and keep observing precautions to curb the spread of Coronavirus pandemic, as the disease is still dangerous.

In a recent interview, the President said Pakistan has successfully tackled COVID-19 outbreak through a combination of factors including face masks, frequent hand washing and social distancing.

He said the same combination of factors is essential for future too, as the country is witnessing second wave of coronavirus cases.

Dr Arif Alvi said Pakistan was recognized for maintaining balance between lives and livelihood as the government strives to keep up the economic activity.

According to details, a meeting of the task force on coronavirus has been convened under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in which strict action has been directed on SOP.

In the meeting, the Sindh Chief Minister said that Coronavirus is on the rise and that is why we have to compel people to follow SOPs.

He said that SOPs should be strictly enforced everywhere and at the same time, SOPs should be ensured in all religious places.

The Chief Minister Sindh has directed that strict action be taken where SOPs are not complied with.
