President Arif Alvi has congratulated the newly-elected President of the United States Joe Biden.

In a recent tweet, the president felicitated Joe Biden for winning the Presidential election race. He also congratulated Joe Biden’s running mate Kamala Harris.

“Congratulations President-Elect Joe Biden and VP Elect @KamalaHarris. Looking forward to an improving US role towards world peace especially in Afghanistan, as well as the entire region. Pakistan looks forward to our continued long term friendship and a dignified relationship.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for their win in US 2020 election.

He wrote on Twitter, “Congratulations @JoeBiden &  @KamalaHarris. Look forward to President-Elect Biden’s Global Summit on Democracy & working with him to end illegal tax havens & stealth of nation’s wealth by corrupt leaders.”

“We will also continue to work with US for peace in Afghanistan & in the region”, the premier added.
