Prime Minister Imran Khan arrives Kabul

Prime Minister Imran Khan has arrived in Kabul to hold talks with the Afghan leadership on the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and the Afghan peace process.

According to the details, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, DG ISI Lt. Gen. Faiz Hamid, Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood, Special Representative for Afghanistan Muhammad Sadiq and senior officials are accompanying the Prime Minister during the visit.

Upon arrival at Kabul airport, the Prime Minister and his delegation was received by Afghan Foreign Minister Mohammad Haneef Atmar and Afghan President’s Special Representative for Pakistan Mohammad Umer Daudzai and senior officials.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Afghanistan Mansoor Ahmad Khan and Embassy officials also present. The visit will help foster a stronger and multi-faceted relationship between the two brotherly countries.

The last time PM Imran and Ghani had met in person was when the latter visited Pakistan in June 2019. Before that, they had met on the sidelines of the 14th OIC Summit in Makkah, Saudi Arabia in May 2019.
