Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Jahangir Tareen has landed at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport on Friday after seven months.

He has arrived in Pakistan with his son Ali Tareen on the UAE-based Emirates Airlines from London via Dubai.

Earlier, Jahangir Tareen had said that he would return to Pakistan this month.

Sources said that he has made a reservation for his return to Pakistan. Tareen had reached London from Pakistan 7 months ago.

Jahangir Tareen has been living in the Hampshire Country Home for seven months.

He has been living abroad since the release of the Sugar Commission report.

According to sources, Jahangir Tareen did not hold any political meeting during his stay in the UK.

It may be recalled that senior PTI leader Jahangir Tareen had gone to London for treatment.

Earlier in September, a Combined Investigation Team (CIT) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) summoned the PTI leader for his alleged involvement in a money laundering and corporate case on Saturday.

However, the senior leader of the ruling party, Tareen has said that the allegations leveled against him are baseless.

In a statement issued by him, he stated that a concocted case has been registered against him.  He pointed out that how a recent uprising in the sugar prices is related to the transactions made several years back.

He further stated that the FIA has summoned him after registering unsubstantiated allegations against him. “My son Ali Khan Tareen had also been dragged into the case without any proof,” he said according to the statement issued.
