Top Political Figures of Pakistan have paid rich tributes to the ‘Poet of the East Allama Muhammad Iqbal on his 143rd birth anniversary.

President Arif Alvi:

President Dr Arif Alvi stressed the need to follow Iqbal’s teachings on Islam and his “Khudi” philosophy that promoted self-respect and human dignity.

“Iqbal was a great benefactor of the Muslims of sub-continent, who envisioned the idea of a separate homeland for them and later his dream was translated into reality.”

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that Pakistan will become a welfare state by following the teachings and philosophy of Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

He also visited the tomb of Allama Iqbal and laid a floral wreath on his grave.

In addition to this, Usman Buzdar said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was transforming Pakistan in line with Iqbal’s vision.

Usman Buzdar said that PM Imran saved the nation from plunderers and corrupt elements.

Shibli Faraz:

Information Minister Shibli Faraz has said Pakistan will be built as per the ideals of Allama Iqbal under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. In his tweet on Monday, he said the entire nation today pays tribute to Allama Iqbal who was a great poet, philosopher and thinker.

He said Iqbal’s concept of ‘Khudi’ gave a compelling and sane message to the young generation to create their own world instead of relying on others.
