Vienna shooting: Pakistan censured the terror attack; extends sympathies

Pakistan has on Tuesday strongly cesnured the despicable terror attack in Central Vienna which killed two people and left dozens injured.

In a statement on Tuesday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri conveyed Pakistan’s heartfelt sympathies to the families of innocent victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.

The spokesperson said Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

On Monday night, a dreadful shooting attack at multiple locations in Austrian capital Vienna has killed two people and left dozens wounded.

According to the details, Gunmen opened fire on people enjoying at Vienna’s cafes and restaurants. The authorities said it was a terrorist attack that left two dead and dozens injured.

Witnesses said they saw a man shoot “like crazy” with what appeared to be an automatic weapon before police arrived and opened fire.

“They looked like firecrackers, then we realized that they were gunshots,” said one witness.

Moreover, Vienna Mayor Michael Ludwig said 15 people were hospitalized, seven with serious injuries.
