1.2 Million People Will Benefit From Health Card: PM

Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that 1.2 million families in Azad Kashmir will get health insurance.

Addressing the health card issuance ceremony for the people of Azad Kashmir in Muzaffarabad, he said that free treatment will be provided to people from any hospital in Pakistan through the health card.

The Prime Minister said that he decided to build Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital 35 years ago and worked hard for 10 years.

Imran Khan also said that there was no hospital for cancer treatment in Pakistan but now cancer patients are treated for free.

The Prime Minister said that the Punjab government was trying to ensure that all citizens have health insurance while every citizen of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would have health insurance.

Imran Khan also said that prosperity comes when we help the poor and needy, and to make policies to fulfil the basic needs of the people.

Earlier, Imran Khan said that the government has also planned to bring health insurance in Gilgit Baltistan that will facilitate the poor and low-income people.

PM also added that the government will Ehsaas programme and boost tourism in the region for the welfare of the people

The Prime Minister also said that people have the right and authority to make decisions for their future. He said that no one could accurately measure the suitability of projects for a specific region while sitting in Islamabad and the region’s representatives will recommend fruitful projects as per their requirements.
