CM Murad Ali Shah recovers from COVID-19, tweets appreciation for well-wishers

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced Wednesday he has recovered from novel coronavirus that he contracted last month BOL news reported last month.

Taking to Twitter, the provincial chief said in a tweet that his test came negative as he thanked friends and family for their concerns.

Murad Ali Shah Said,

“By the Grace of Allah, I have tested negative for COVID-19. Thank you to all friends & well-wishers for their calls and messages.”

 

The Sindh chief said he tried to respond to all the wishes but it was not possible for him to manage responses to each message, however, he asserted that he is grateful for all the good wishes.

On November 16, Shah and senior PPP leader Sharjeel Memon both had tested positive for coronavirus.

Earlier, a statement issued by the chief minister’s office had disclosed that CM Murad got tested for COVID-19 on Friday after catching a mild fever. “After the test, I went into isolation on doctor’s advice,” said the chief minister.

CM Murad had said he was asymptomatic apart from the fever.

On the other hand, 1249 nurses and total 2655 of hospital staffers across Pakistan have been plagued with this virus so far according to NIH.

NIH report also recorded the data of complicated cases amongst the health workers citing 594 of the reported cases are still in isolation while 90 of them are receiving medical treatment at present.

Total 9680 have recovered from the virus so far, the all-encompassing report asserted.

The report underscored the fatalities due to Covid-19 in each region as well noting 34 health workers in the Sindh province died due to novel coronavirus followed with 25 fatalities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 14 deaths in Punjab.
