FM bashes Opposition for dual standards on COVID-19

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has bashed the dual standards of the opposition parties on the coronavirus.

According to the details, while addressing media in Multan; Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that situation can worsen in the month of January.

He said that “On one hand the PPP government is imposing smart lockdown in Sindh and on the other side carrying out public rallies.”

Shah Mahmood Qureshi urged the masses to ensure implementation of the SOPs and asked the ulemas and media men to come forward to create awareness among the masses.

Qureshi said that PDM is risking the lives of the masses by holding public rallies in the pandemic.

Let it be known that the Coronavirus pandemic has once again strengthened its roots in Pakistan as the national tally of infections reached 416,499.

According to the data by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 3,308 new cases have been reported in the past 24 hours. On the contrary, 58 patients have died. The death toll from Covid-19 reached 8,361.

Sources said that 41,645 samples were tested in the previous 24 hours out of which 3,308 came positive.

NCOC said that the positivity ratio of fresh Covid-19 cases stands at 7.94 percent.
