Karachi weather to get colder this week

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted low temperatures in Karachi dropping to nine degrees Celsius this week.

According to PMD, the city will experience minimum temperature in the port city between 09 – 11 ºCelsius today with partially cloudy weather.

However, the weather will remain cold and dry with occasional gusty winds, while the wind speed has been recorded at six kilometers per hour.

Windy weather with 30-40 KM per hour wind speed has been forecast for Karachi and Hyderabad for the next two days.

On the other hand, very cold and dry weather is likely to prevail in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

However, light rain with light snowfall over the hills is expected in the Pothohar region, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Fog is likely in plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning and night.

The temperature of some major cities recorded: 

Islamabad and Muzaffarabad five degree centigrade, Lahore and Peshawar seven, Karachi twelve, Quetta minus six and Gilgit and Murree minus two-degree centigrade.

According to the Met Office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, very cold and dry weather is likely to prevail in Srinagar, Anantnag, Shopian, Pulwama, Leh, Baramulla and Jammu.

The temperature recorded this morning, Srinagar, Anantnag, and Shopian minus two-degree centigrade, Jammu nine, Leh minus ten and Pulwama Baramulla minus four-degree centigrade.
