Prime Minister PM Imran Khan on Wednesday said that a committee will be formed immediately to make progress on giving provincial status to Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) region.

According to the details, Imran Khan attended the oath-taking ceremony of cabinet members. GB governor administered oaths to the newly-elected members of the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA).

During his address to the cabinet, he said that the PTI government is well aware of the problems being faced by the people of the GB. He added that all the issues will be addressed to provide maximum relief to the people.

Imran Khan said that the government has also planned to bring health insurance in Gilgit Baltistan that will facilitate the poor and low-income people.

PM also added that the government will Ehsaas programme and boost tourism in the region for the welfare of the people

The Prime Minister also said that people have the right and authority to take decisions for their future. He said that no one could accurately measure the suitability of projects for a specific region while sitting in Islamabad and the region’s representatives will recommend fruitful projects as per their requirements.

While criticizing the opposition leaders, including PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and PPP chairperson Asif Zardari, the Premier said that the corrupt mafia does not care about the country but is just busy in political underscoring, to save their looted wealth.

“We have seen how Allah’s wrath has destroyed them. They are facing humiliation everywhere in their lives.”

Imran Khan also commented on the interview of former finance minister Ishaq Dar. Imran Khan said that Ishaq Dar was roasted as his lies was being unveiled one by one by BBC Anchor.
