Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan called on Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Hasanov Zakir and Commander Azerbaijan Air Force Lieutenant General Tahirov Ramiz.

During the meeting, both discussed bilateral relations and professional matters including cooperation in defense.

The Air Chief assured full support and cooperation in military training to Azerbaijan forces by Pakistan Air Force.

The Commander of the Azerbaijan Air Force praised the training system of the Pakistan Air Force and its role in the military training of Azerbaijan Air Force personnel.

The Air Chief praised the professionalism of Azerbijan Air Force & assured of PAF’s full support; especially in the domain of training. Cdr Azeri Air Force commended the standards of PAF training system and acknowledged its support towards training of Azeri Air Force personnel.

The Azerbaijani Air Force Chief also appreciated the national level preparations for the JF-17 Thunder program.

Pakistan Aeronautical Complex on December 30^th, 2020, formally launched the production work of Block-III of JF-17 Thunder aircraft on the completion of a dual-seat JF-17 fighter jet.

The launching ceremony was held at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra, which was attended by Air Chief Marshal, Mujahid Anwar Khan, and the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong.

Speaking on the occasion, the Air Chief emphasized indigenization and self-reliance in military hardware.

He praised the initiatives of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra for the design, development, manufacturing, and overhaul of aerial warfare assets.

He also applauded the collaboration between the aviation industries of Pakistan and China.
