Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the government would extend all possible cooperation to the private sector for establishing hospitals in the country’s far-flung areas.

The Premier chaired a briefing in Islamabad about Universal Health Coverage in Punjab. He said that access to quality healthcare is the basic right of every citizen.

Khan added that his government has initiated reforms in the health sector, which are aimed at helping the poor and deserving.

The Prime Minister said all the permanent residents of Punjab would be provided the facility of health card by end of this year for medical treatment at public and private hospitals.

Emirates red crescent to support different hospitals in Sindh

Mr. Bakheet Atiq Al Remeithi counselor at UAE Consulate, Karachi has signed an agreement on behalf of UAE red crescent to support different hospitals in Sindh.

According to details, the emirates red crescent will particularly support maternity, children, and emergency units. They will provide medical equipment, advanced machinery, and maintenance at the Sheikh Zayed hospital for women and children, Larkana in the province of Sindh.
