Karachi ranks second most polluted city in world today

Karachi, today, has been ranked second among the most polluted cities in the world and the minimum temperature recorded today was 9.2°C. However, due to the smog, the visibility near the airport was recorded 3 kilometers.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the weather of the metropolis will remain cold and dry during the next 24 hours.

The humidity in the air was recorded at 51% in the port city, whereas, winds from the northeast at a speed of 7 kilometers per hour have chilled the city.

On the other hand, the Air Quality Index (AQI) ranked Karachi as the second most polluted city in the world that made the atmosphere today extremely harmful.

The amount of polluted particles in the city’s air has been recorded at 274 particulate meters.

Lahore ranked fifth with 277 particulate meters, whereas, New Delhi ranked first.
